Dixon has 30 years' experience as an insurance educator and an agent with Farm Bureau Insurance Companies.  He is a serious student of the profession having earned these designations:  AAI, AIM, AINS, AIS, API, AU, CASL, ChFC, CLU, DBA, DHP, DIA, DIF, FHIAS< HCAFA, HIA, IA, LTCP, LUTCF, MHP, PHAM, PHIAS, ChHC, RHU, REBC, RICP, RSSA (Registered Social Security Analyst)  He has an MA from East Carolina University.  He is the founding President of James Sprunt Community College in Kenansville, North Carolina.  He has been the owner of Dixon Insurance School, training insurance and financial service professionals since 1989.
